Drafts
All Guillotine Leagues are 12 round serpentine draft.
Email Drafts: Your team roster is updated as you make the selections online! The draft timer will be set at 8 hours per selection for the first 2 days and will be moved up to 6 hours thereafter (and moved up further if needed). This type of draft will normally take 7 days to complete. The league software has a pre-draft function. When your league is full and becomes active, you will be able to view your league website for more information regarding draft operations. The draft order for all drafts will be randomly set by the computer.
In the event an owner allows the time limit to expire, the league software will immediately select the best player available and will continue to do so until you sign in. This service is provided for unforeseen emergencies. If you know you're going to be busy or away from your computer, please use Pre-Draft function. If you let the timer expire during the first three days of the draft, your team will be set to auto-pick and will remain on auto-pick until you contact us via email to turn auto-pick off.
Player Eligibility: Only players currently in the NFL, which means they are on an NFL team roster, are currently an NFL free agent player in search of a team or rookie players that were drafted to an NFL team (even if they're unsigned) are eligible for the fantasy draft.
Live Drafts: Your team roster is updated as you make the selections online! The draft timer will be set at 90 seconds per selection. This type of draft will normally take 1 to 2 hours to complete. The draft order for all drafts will be randomly set by the computer. See league home page for more information about the draft.

Details
The basic gist of a Guillotine league is that the lowest scoring team of the week gets eliminated from contention weekly. 1 team will be eliminated each week, so that in week 17 there will be 2 teams left.
In the event of a tie, the team with the most blind bidding dollars will be advanced. If blind bidding money is tied, the team with the most total points scored.
The winner gets 1st place and the loser 2nd place.
You can come in 16th the first week, 15th the 2nd, 14th the third and so on and stay in contention. The only goal is not to come in last each week. If you don't come in last, you move on. Each week the scoring resets back to zero.
There is no trading, but there is blind bidding and that is the real twist in a Guillotine league! All the players from the eliminated team are dropped into the player pool and are available for blind bidding weekly.
This is where all the strategy lies, do you spend your blind bidding bucks early, or save them for later? What about bye weeks? Can I afford to hold a player on bye, or do I need to drop him and get someone else? New stud players will be available EVERY week!
You will have $1000 Blind Bidding Dollars at the start of the season. There will also be First Come-First Served. We will run FcFs a little different … you will be required to keep any player picked up for at least 1 day. Meaning, any player you pick up must stay on your roster for at least 1 day.
This is a best ball email draft league with a 12-player roster. You will start 1 QB / 1 RB / 1 WR / 1 TE / 1 team K / 1 Def and 2 flex (RB/WR/TE). Same Master’s scoring rules apply.
The short roster is by design as there are supposed to be lots of studs in waivers each week and managing your blind bidding dollars and rosters adds a whole new dimension to fantasy football.
